‘The Junction continues to be an organisation that children, young people and their families feel able to approach for support when they have concerns or questions. There may not always be immediate solutions but we can listen and work with them to help them make their own informed choices and decisions.

We place great importance on the value of comfortable and safe environments, where positive relationships can be formed. This is essential if we are to build up enough trust with children and young people to be able to support them well in achieving positive outcomes.

Our approach is child and young person centred and is based on respect, openness and acceptance of mistakes, which is something many young people don’t often experience.

We believe that this way of working has enabled us to form and develop positive and productive relationships with over 500 children and young people in the past year.’
