Information and support services
Open Access Service
From our base at 19 Station Road, Redcar we provide young people with access to relevant information and access to practical facilities in an environment which is young person centred, accessible and safe.
The Open Access service provides information and support for young people aged up to 25 years old. It is operated from the organisations offices in 19 Station Road, Redcar and is open Monday to Friday 11:00am until 4:00 pm.
As well as offering information and support for young people it also provides much needed access to useful resources, including; access to a telephone for important calls to other agency’s etc., access to a PC and the internet for example to register an interest in a house, to complete a CV etc., use of laundry facilities for washing and drying clothes and use of a shower.
The service for all young people is safe, confidential and staffed by trained, experienced staff and volunteers.
Outreach Service
The community outreach project was developed in the response to the needs of children and young people who were unable to access information and support services via the organisations open access service.
The community outreach project is available for children and young people and is targeted at the 14 to 25 age group. Although each child and young person is different there are a number of common themes including problems and issues at school, low self esteem and low self confidence, housing, debt and money issues, problems with relationships and home life.
